Thread regarding GE Oil & Gas layoffs

Lay offs...for managers...maybe?

Too many managers "working" on the same things...

Stepping all over each other

In turn, they have their subordinates working on the same

Managers dipping into other departments and vice versa

GE has been pulling non oilfield management into the operation for years. It has been my experience that the system is loaded with junk when mid management is expected to produce as much as the PB and LPB bands. Some will shine, but most are delaying the inevitable.

Nothing personal, but the business isn't there to justify the workforce nor the roof tops.

GE is experiencing their 1980's now. Hopefully some smart people make it through this so the company can learn from and rebound.

Good luck to everyone. We all have loved ones to provide for!

GE Money Managers walk on their bellies. They go to other departments, swapping places in other departments, and gathering together in meetings to snitch on you and everyone else. Then, the rumors of more layoffs begin along with them building a layoff/performance development failure list. One guy was told by a manager he didn't even know, that he was layoff. They are not stepping over each other, they are taking the eye off of them; back to the blue collar and one door from nepotism.
