Well SL just announced Target will now offer bonuses for all exempt employees. That's a nice surprise for the team members. I was excepting bonuses to be cut all together.

Great, more people eligible = smaller (than they already are) amounts. Also why do I always have to get news about target from external sources?!

Well, it is nice, but considering EVERY other large organization does this, Target is just playing catch-up. Also, just because you're 'eligible' for a bonus, doesn't mean you'll actually get one. For example, at my previous (large) employer, you would only get a bonus if your dept reached a certain goal set at the beginning of the year. I could see Target having different goals for different areas, traffic and sales for Marketing, conversion for Target.com, etc.
