It's true. It happened to me. I didn't see it coming. Mostly reductions within SubSea on Wednesday, but also a few from Completions, including two managers, the Center Quality Systems Manager who had over 40 years, and then a Sustaining Engineering Manager. What a shock. I hope the young employees are paying attention to how they might be treated someday. SLB used to be a great place to work, but these days they are no better than anyone else, including Walmart.
So much for being a troll huh? I told y'all! I already found a new job in less than 24 hours with more money lol
One sure way to tell a troll is their use of the phrase "100% confirmed". Confirmed by whom? The voices in his/her head?

No need for more than 60k employees to support the projected price of oil. Offshore is to expensive and fracing will become the mainstay of the industry. Forced retirements and redundant management layoffs thru 2016.
When you spend 1/3 of your life working with colleagues in the office.. They become family..... Screw the guys who make millions... It is the people around you who shared your life that matter and we will lose a lot of them tomorrow

SLB family? what a family? some makes 30 mils/year and some gets unemployment benefits (if lucky)

Bull there will be no layoffs. There will merely be free money for those who don't have to work anymore.
