Just wondering how things are going for those that are left at SeanAgra.

I think if you could find out the annual salary of the employees dumped by Sean and his minions you would find that the average salary is much, much higher for the above 55 crew.

Not matter how you cut it they got rid of the older highly compensated employees.

The others were just window dressing to hide that age discrimination.

They do not want any person near that 55 age mark because of the pension plans. They may say it is not age discrimination, but it really is. When you are released, they had you this piece of paper showing you how many people in each age bracket.

I have a friend right now over in India training the replacement IT crew. I am guessing once they are trained he will get the boot also. What a company!

Barbera from owh, you may want to set up exit poll vicinity of 72 680 office on 04 27. Last day for many there. They are required to come in that day turn in laptops etc and sign paperwork

A friend told me they replaced someone he knows with decades of experience in his position with someone who has "zero" experience.

That is right "zero" experience.

Got a pretty job title he reports.

Recipe for disaster.

Although SeanAgra went to great lengths to "prove" there was no age discrimination it is very apparent that there was exactly that.

Sean and his minions, including the management that survived the initial cuts, dumped key older personel in many areas. And with thousands of years experience that can never ever be recovered gone what will happen next?

Massive and complete confusion and disorganization.

Many saw the writing on the wall that they would be next and decided to retire.

Those that remain will hear those completely idiotic and self serving statement "It's not your fault but ours. We are sorry but your services are no longer needed. ".

Just seems disproportionate number of people over 40 gone. Many good folks left but when there was a choice between experience (and age) vs younger and cheaper ... Well you know the rest.

Hi Anonymous, I'm right here -- would be happy to write more if there are people willing to tell us their story or send information. What do you think we still need to write about? Let me know.

I think the last of the end dates are around November.

I'm wondering where the World Herald is. Wasn't this supposed to be about 1000 laid off initially? It seems like way more than that have left.
