It's not 3%. It's 4%. This is not the first round. There were layoffs earlier this year and in previous years but it was all handled quietly.

Who is laid-off is more about office politics than performance. Some of the people who were laid-off were never given a performance review... most managers would fire you at FireEye for low performance.
Not low performers. Don't insult those who you once worked with. This was only the first wave. There will be more in the next few weeks and months.
Can anyone post something corroborating this? Otherwise...
3% is not layoff. It's a healthy replacement of low performers.
