@ suy: Mobile is not a priority?... So that's why we took Qualcomm's 2nd best executive and put him in place to be Intel CEO? Doesn't add up. Intel is still desperate for the mobile market. Please be intellectually honest. (I know that quote is from the article but please don't repost articles by fools)

and, I got me a hunch about these new things called "self drivin cars"! aint nobody workin on them yet so shsssss- it'll be our little secret! just wait until they have intel inside! they'll be sooo much better!

specially once the genetic memories of all those little maker grilz starts spooging out all that hand optimized x86 assembler the got from they daddy's side of the family.

Doesn't look so bad to me if you actually read the article and not just the headline:

Big deal? Not really

If Intel were still aggressively fighting to win share in the mobile market, I would say that this represents something of a setback for them. But it's clear from what the company has said about its investment priorities, and from the lack of discussion of mobile-related silicon on the company's part in general, that this is no longer a priority for the company.
