Interns should be worried if they chose Intel. If that's the case they need to pull their head out of the sand and look around at technology trends - get on board a company that is not being disrupted and has more than one product. If Intel was not their first choice of internship then no change to the plan: put the Intel name on the resume and look for a better company for your actual career.

Solid advice. My daughter is graduating from univercity next month and she accepted a job at another company. She stayed away from Intel after what I went through. Straight A student and on presidents list. Hell with Intel.
As I look back on my career, my summer internships were totally meaningless. They are a stepping stone to your first job which is a stepping stone to a better job, etc. Keeping up your skill set and sharpening the soft skills are more important in the long term to your career.
Not sure what site we are talking about as a contractor with 15 years on site smile emoticon I know 11x was supposed to be a lights out fab, D1C used to be RnD, I know it's D1X now.
Totally miss the job and stress, just not travel time from Vanc. I have made so many friends over the years, hang in guys!!!
