Last year they eliminated these manager/Sr manager positions and now they got them back. Some of the team leads who got new desig letters were so confused :) Even they knew they totally dont deserve these new positions. Happens only in TGT! Everyone is a manager, wonder who is managing the managers??

That will bring them again to implosion. A job at Target is once again a social status and not a real value adding responsibility. Good luck!
This was such a poor decision to make these level and title changes- now the complaisant worthless leads are managers and really feel above everyone now. I haven't seen any of mine since the change- WTF were they thinking... you cant make everyone a SR. , Lead, or manager...you diminished the meaning of a leader...
Good luck to those still there. Left last year (non-RIF'd) and haven't looked back. You'll find many opportunities out there (they respect TGT talent) but hesitant to hire if you've been there too long (TGT group think). The real world has no time for endless GTKYs and status meetings. It's all about the work. I'm busier than I was ever my decade there, but more challenged everyday and enjoying things more than I imagined.
Oh yeah...I did leverage up the title when I moved...and now my peers there are now titled where I and the industry are...but I already heard from a few of them that they'd head out when they find the right next fit.
The GTKY coffee status crowd is back. The levels are nonsense. Reviews are back to being 100% subjective
