Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Aicha Evans out

http://www.oregonlive.com/silicon-forest/index.ssf/2016/04/intels_aicha_evans_out_after_l.html

She promised much and delivered little. Though no leader in the phone business have succeeded, I don't know if anyone could've done better than she did.

BK confirmed last night during employee BUM that AE is staying at Intel. She will be completely useless for Intel and everybody will know she was kept on because she is a minority exec.

If AE stays at Intel that would be shocking. And it would be shocking that BK is willing to keep an underperforming exec just because it is good PR for Intel. What kind of respect can AE maintain at Intel if she stays?

Pushing out a few big boys is one thing but letting the minorityX2 member go would have surely brought down the company.

Bad Murthy! drop it boy! drop it now!

AE is not as technically bright as she pretends. So meetings with Murthy who has been acting like the modem and mobile ecosystem know-it-all did not go too well. Current rumour has it that MCM is not keen on losing their black female trophy executive and negotiating hard to keep her.

I wish they could hire me to be the VP of the mobile group. I'll promise great products for next year, do nothing for the year, then get fired. I would have done no worse than all the VP's before me. In the mean time, get paid handsomely for it.

I wonder if she is leaving because she thought she should have been chosen for exec VP instead of Murthy. In any case she has something lined up other wise she would not leave.

"She promised much and delivered little. "

By this rule, shouldn't pretty much every executive since Otellini be fired?

Does she have to pay back the $25bn she lost the company in mobile?

Keep preaching diversity retention BK, yet another thing good enough for the plebeians but not applicable to you.
