Where the employees who got laid off given severance packages? Where all employees given packages or just upper management? I barley made the last 2 cuts I was told last time I made the cut by the skin of my teeth. I am just wanting to know if Denbury does give severance and if it's any good? Sorry for the ones that were let go it was a huge surprise and a terrible shock for some that were let go. Praying

Severance is basically 2 weeks for every year worked minimum of 12 weeks.
But you have to sign away certain rights to get it.
Glad you found something better! I encourage anyone and everyone who has a chance to get out to do so! I consider myself lucky and fortunate enough that I'll make it through this hard time in the oil and gas industry.
Thank you @G7Ftarw-2lym you made me feel so much better about leaving!
I didn't think anyone had a chance at a humanitarian award!
Look at you WOW!
Yes, a severance package was given to throw laid off. From my understand it is compared to other companies and depends on the years you have with the company. I work in the field and laugh when I see corporate talking about the cafe and then realize how shitty we have it in the fields trying to hold the company together. Our field budget alone was cut over 75 million last year, personnel cut, and yet we still maintained production where it was and cut back on overtime pay and contracting work out. If y'all want to survive his down time then step up and start putting in work in other departments to help out. Layoffs not expected??! Your kidding me right?? How could anyone not expect this... Everyone should expect it and pray they make the cut. Yes denburys management at corporate level does a piss poor job. Cut budgets in every field over 200 million and still maintain production?? Why weren't we doing this 3 years ago!! If they were maybe we wouldn't have had to layoff but wait we layoff 35% of the company and we still produce more oil and gas than ever and getting the job done. Shows there were a lot of people with pointless jobs. DenBury has 1:1 ratio when it comes to office personnel to field hands. Most company's have 4-6 field hands for every 1 office personnel. Shows right there we were to top heavy!! Sorry for those who lost their jobs but unless others want to be sitting at the house I suggest helping where it's needed and picking up the extra slack like we do in the fields until things turn around.
With your ability to spell and exceptional command of language I'm surprised your not upper management.
Shutting the cafe isn't gonna save one job. It was (not sure it can be said anymore) part of the company culture and helped with productivity by keeping employees on "campus". I guess it's debatable if it helps with that anymore.
Severances were included as well as career counseling. Believe me it is a lot more than most companies caught up in this down cycle are giving.
Lots of variables looked at when deciding who to cut...productivity, work load, etc. Managers made the call. A whole layer of supervisors eliminated. The whole organizational chart is being changed.
It's interesting how a high percentage of the bosses survived. I guess they are not responsible for the failing of Denbury? Just the worker bees? Who trained or supervised these worker bees?
Thank God they still have the Denbury Cafe!
All the COOOOOL people are gone now. At least in I.T.
Yes there were severances. Our manager freely told us what their packages included. If you are really a Denbury employee then you can ask your boss. If you're not a Denbury employee, then it's none of your business.
That's who they kept. They let good ones go.
Give the person a break! The spelling was probably due to the persons phone or tablet more than likely automatically inserted the words.
"Where?" You mean "Were."
Barley? You mean Barely.
Wow, you're still there?
