This is so funny. All of this arrogance shows why supply chain does not work so well. When supply chain makes purchase decisions resulting in $100sK in scrap it is somehow engineering's fault. Engineering is not perfect either. It should have been real teamwork without the arrogance....just like little kids. Downsizing should help a lot because the fools can no longer hide in meetings all day. They will be forced to do some real work. I miss the work, not the fools.

SLB supply chain is a joke when you compare it to other companies. SLB Supply chain was born to appease investor concern that too much money was been squandered in the mom and pop relations engineering had with vendors, but in the end engineers were sent in to manage supply chain. Now it's just an ugly and inefficient beast that sucks money from the company. A prime candidate for restructuring.

Supply chain will grow in this environment. A dollar saved is a dollar earned. It's all about cost control. Engineering did not keep accurate files and got into (single source) bed with manufacturers to the detriment of the company. Supply chain will take over SLB for the next 12-24 months.

Face of Manufacturing? WHAT????

We did fine before you were invented = OVERHEAD.

Let Engineers rule Engineering company.

To heck with saving nickels and dimes to get something almost to spec and almost on time.

Part of the ruin of many companys and especially SLB...Accounting...Supply Chain...etc...Worship the $ and suffer the Product.

Supply chain? Some must have slipped through the cracks. They should have been wiped out awhile ago?
