$180k/yr is nice as long as you have a life (very job dependent). But me personal take is everyone should have an exit plan: fresh resume, external contacts built up, maybe a few practice interviews, etc. It's like a firedrill. ARM might start a fire that is hard to put out, just like Intel did to DEC and Sun.
The OP is very true. What is even worse though is not only does the company treat you like shit but it also is losing in the marketplace and faces poor growth prospects - therefore poor career growth prospects. Time for next round of layoffs...
