They don't actually own the building - It's owned by a management company and leased by SWN. It's a tax thing - they had it built to spec, but lease it so it's a operating expense rather than an asset.
They wanted to be near ExxonMobil's new Woodlands campus. Guilt by association.
They wanted to hang with the big boys, but they lacked the leadership.
