This is the most unprecedented nonsense in the history of humanity – penalizing unemployed for not having jobs. Instead of giving, they take away.
The penalties subsidize the salaries and similar future endeavors of the ones that have come up with the most outrageous in its stupidity accounting system.
Despite long misleading Instructions in IRS Form 8965, all this crap can be described as the following GENERAL expression :
P = (G – E) x 0.02 x ∑N/12
Where P - $penalty
G – gross household 2015 income
E – sum of all exemptions (the base for married filing jointly is $20,600)
N – number of months unemployed
∑ - sum of all N/12 for every dependent over 18 yrs (for singles w/o dependents, ∑ = 1)
It becomes N/24 for every dependent under 18
