IBM's largest asset (by far) is it's human capital, humans and workers that toil day and night... Yet IBM is running talent out the door as quickly as possible, this seems to be the only thing the executives are doing well right now. There is value in the gigantic revenue they control and huge inertia for their customers to drop them, and if (God help you) you work here, you will see first hand how the leadership team is shoveling that cash into their pockets as quickly as they can. And forget the shareholders as they are getting peanuts - it's all about the executive line up getting rich as quickly as it's humanly possible.

I worked there for 30 years......
It was a wonderful company to work for......until it wasn't.
High ranking executives, during the early 90's were concerned about one,
and only one thing......themselves...and to heck with anyone below them.
Fortunately, during that timeframe.....early retirements were superb.....and many of us
took them and never looked back.......you could not pay me any sum of money
to work there today.....it is impersonal, nothing but phone and computer tag....
and no sense of respect for the individual........TJ would be turning over in his grave.
IBM is really bad when it comes to being honest - You have to be on a project. If not you are at risk of being fired within a few months. Even if there are no project in your service line.
This is not only a 2016 thing for IBM, they have been doing the same thing over and over again - a bad quarter is announced, numbers go down, they calculate how many folks to lay off to keep IBM afloat, they lay off people and they move on. That's it.. The Big Blue Way...
IBM does not care bro
