Actually, have you ever heard of hedging? Complete the wells and get all the first year production before the hedges go away. Pretty smart actually. Combine that with expiring leases, the company might be doing just fine. Certainly better than others. Actually, have you ever heard of hedging?

obviously the original poster doesn't understand that hedges only apply to currently producing barrels. While it does provide additional cash flow, you don't get any more money from your hedges by drilling/completing more wells. you get the same benefit from your hedges regardless...unless your production falls too much and then you have to pay back some hedges if you don't make the volumes.
