I talked to HR and asked if I was getting the upcoming bonus along with severence and she told me most will not get bonuses this year due to downturn and targets not being hit. I guess that makes sense.

I don't believe I wrote anywhere in my comment that I was unemployed. I doubt that your doing more work than I am, maybe, just maybe you might be doing as much as I am.

Yeah you definitely don't get the bonus unless you're employed at the time the bonuses are given out. From what I hear we are getting them, but it's not the full bonus. It's a percentage.

Actually that is incorrect. Printed in bold on page 3 of the ICP bonus letter "if a participants employment terminates for any reason prior to the payout date, the participant is not eligible for the incentive payment." That said I doubt it would be anything significant or anything at all this year. Just wanted to make sure the OP did have his hopes up because of misinformation.
The last reply is correct. You will get a bonus if they are given out to your segment. It would be mailed.
Read the bonus letter that NOV passed out in the middle of last year. It states you are eligible for the bonus if your employed through the end of the previous year so if they do hand out bonuses, you should get it.

If you are not employed when bonuses come out you will not be getting it. Besides, depending on your tenure the severance will be about equivalent to what your bonus would have been...
Your bonus is based on profit, the company have made a profit so if your still employed you should get a bonus
What did HR mean by 'most'? Those laid off or what? Who knows if they mail out our bonus checks after layoffs?
