Who are the idiots that make the decisions? How do they allow people that have NO IDEA make a decision as to who they will be laying off? There are people still employed here that very well deserved to be cut BEFORE some of the people that were let go. For example, you have some Controls planners that could have been let go and a few Stack Pad planners as well. Some of the buyers that were released were also a bad choice. Cachet was an awesome buyer. Anna Cantu was an dam good planner as well. Letting Dan Grey go was the only great choice. Word is Juan Carlos is moving to Anthony Bell's Group and Terry Buckner is moving to Ricardo's group. Those are 2 other employees that are worthless. Don't ask them to do something that is not in their "SOP" because it will not be done. Seems like that is the type of employee you have to be in order to be acknowledged here at NOV. I pray and hope i am on the next cut. Allen Bell is not a very good manager either. Yes he has the knowledge but he is not very professional. He tells his wife Cara confidential information about people and she goes and runs her mouth to her employees. If i were one of those employees, NOV would have a major law suit on their hands. Releasing or discussing an employees personal information is confidential. This place is a shit hole and is managed by a bunch of morons. It's not what you know, it's who you know. God bless the rest of us here.

I agree. A lot of good people were let go while those who surpass incompetence remain. Everyone is aware yet no action is taken. It's disturbing to say the least.
Honestly, if you're out of this place, it's probably the best thing that could happen. No need to stress over poor management skills and unwarranted promotions.
Finally - someone told the truth. Yes, Allen is extremely smart but has become quite maniacal since his promotion. He and Greg East have managed to annihilate the supply chain in a year's time. They don't grasp that shipments would not have been made without all of the people whom they consider worthless. Keith Phillips should thank them for his losing his promotion/responsibilities. They made decisions that look good on paper but don't work and were too busy with their master plan to notice.
And....if you're group is being investigated by corporate, and some admit to the expense paid weekends with vendors, seems to me the manager, and his direct boss should probably be walked out. They definitely knew about it, whether they attend or not. Maybe Corporate could also look into why the Strategic team lost no one and Tactical lost 8 buyers. One of which is very good at her job, African American, and at the beginning of her 3rd trimester. And what do we need a strategic team for at this time? We have no orders and nothing to bargain with. But hey, let's keep them and get rid of the people that keep materials coming into the plant and production running.
FRANK - All the people on this sight are not wrong. Look at what is happening. You believe in NOV, so do a few of the people that are left. Somebody - get rid of the cancers at NOV. Walk Greg and Allen out the door. They are not the only problems but by far the most damaging.
