BK will be fired this year. Intel is in shambles because of his ridiculous leadership skills and the stocks going down the drain. China and India will own Intel soon and Americans will all be out of jobs.

Strategy that is working, Phase 1) )milk the microprocessor cash cow as long as we can. Phase 2) ? Phase 3) New businesses underpants gnome strategy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zc4bGkU05o
Yes, 3Mhu, strange people do win. And those you mention are indeed strange. But none of them looks like they just took 5 Valium when they go on TV (BK does).
Lots of strange people seem to win. Arnold, Rob ford the Toronto mayor drug adict, Anthony Weinier the congressman sexting pics of his junk, Trump claims he will make Mexico pay us billions for a giant wall and he is running first.
BK for political office. LOL! He may have the will to back-stab his way to the top, but he has the amount of charisma that makes Ben Carson look like a wild-eyed maniac!
Lost in space
BK will not be fired before 2018. I doubt he is doing anything the board doesn't agree with. They will give his strategy at least one more year. We should too The house cleaning must run its course then a year or two for the new dudes to catch on. When he does leave I think he is a skilled political dude. And a proven friend of the diverse community so run as democrat for senate or governor in CA and then for president. If hillary or the burnster win he may need to wait his turn. He's old for high tech but not so old as a politician.
2 years of no growth under BK. How much more will the board take? (With Paul O. they took a lot but those were recession years, not boom years.)
BK for President!
BK is not managing perceptions and should get zero credit for this. If perceptions were being managed then Intel's PE would not be at 13; it would be at 40 like ARM's. ARM doesn't have to manage perception to get that 40 PE - they've been managing reality. Real revenue and profit growth.
I wondered how IOT grew so fast. I guess then I give BK credit for managing perceptions.
1bam, if you believe the spin by CEOs of companies with flat revenues for 4 years trying to explain how "the strategy is working", well don't let me bother you, go back to sleep. But for the rest of you, here's how it works. Say you've sold CPUs to companies that manufacture products for a long time. You count this as PCs because you assume they use the CPUs in PCs that run their equipment, back office, etc. Now you want to show growth in non-PC segments. How can you reclassify those units? Hmm, lets see. Let's call them IOT. They are after all used in a company that manufactures products. We don't really know for sure how many are going into PCs vs line equipment (which is more easily IOT). So we reclassify the units. What was called PC is now called IOT. Whallla. Not too hard. Companies do it every day. I have been a part of this at Intel - trust me it happens all the time.
Down 10% Friday after earning report. What does that tell you. Intel lead the losers on Friday. Tells you something.
Sun Micro, DEC, IBM, AMD and now iNtel
BK said in the earnings call our strategy is working. I recall he said 40% of revenue is now outside pc. It is pretty easy to toss rocks at what didn't work like phones but seems like some segments are doing well.
It's tanking already for everything that matters. Revenue has been flat since Q3'11 in a booming economy. The new growth business is drones(!) The "old" growth business (that Intel accidentally fell into) IOT is voting for ARM, just like phones and tablets did already. Current large data center customers like Amazon and Microsoft are buying companies and designing their own CPUs in house to get out from under Intel's monolithic please all customers, un-optimized design and high margins. It's tempting to say that it could not look worse for Intel, but it can get much worse. This is only the beginning phase of a long disruption cycle - think Sun Microsystems circa 2000.
Who cares? Let it tank. It's shit anyway and the place is filled with assholes
Yup. BK fired 300 Million Dollars in skilled Engineers. But what I see is Intel can't replace them.
