I can see it. Anadarko is in terrible financial shape. They might want to acquire Chesapeake to grow the position of to big to fail. Government bail out goal.
No way this would happen. Anadarko's ebitda less capex is more in the red than chk.
Several reputable sources seem to think an acquisition by APC would not be too far fetched.
