Speaking as one of those recently let go by Pearson, no solid intel on when/where layoffs are coming but don't be surprised when they do. Word had their North American Higher Ed sales (a huge part of Pearson's revenue) suffered badly in '15. They are trying to play up that they are an Educational Technology company but ask ask them their plan for Learning Studio. You won't get an answer because there is no plan unless letting it die on the vine IS their plan. Educational Technology company, run by old school Publishing types....it will be interesting to see how 2016 plays out....

Layoffs began a couple of weeks ago with the dismissal of numerous people within the PLC group in Denver and Indianapolis. Today with the Pearson Technology Group offices in Boston, Indianapolis, and San Francisco began the cuts.
IMO, it should read "trying to be an Educational Technology company, run by new, expensive hires who know nothing about Education"
customers are jumping ship in droves
