When TTS announces the key 2016 priorities and plans, the real technologists still at Target will be running for the exits. They don't want to be stuck keeping the lights on, they want to innovate....God help us.

4wgo - the new TTS model is driven by the business teams and the accountability for results falls squarely on the product owner (product owner is in the business ). If you are not getting the focus on right priorities seek them out and complain.
MM is likely the worst pyramid leader I have ever seen. His team (TTS) is completely in the dark and without direction.
There are a lot of salesmen in TTS but very few who know how to actually make snake-oil a reality. Those peddlers spend a lot a time at Sweet Basil's printing up silk screened shirts for one of the many conference speakings their messiah does.
You probably should have a team that can figure out how to deliver systems that actually work, and maintain them before you try to create some more half a$$ed crap that sounds cool. Get off your high horse and try to fix some of the crap you've already rolled out. That would be innovative from TTS.
I've heard the same thing, most of the "new" work efforts will be in distribution and digital.
