Yeah i would get that because i did the calculations at the twc website. I worked mad hours he last two years and they base it from your income in previous quarters. Made about 60k a year the past 3.
I have friends that got the pink slip and made about the same money getting that much right now. Crazy.
Sorry, but the $450 isn't going to happen weekly if you make $500 every 2 weeks. UI is calculated to be about half of your weekly pay, therefore at $250 a week pay, UI will be about $125 a week.
@ Post ID: @FpA0Fu0-pry .... you may want to rethink going on unemployment. Maximum weekly benefit amount is $479.00. However, since you only bring home $500.00 every two weeks you may not bring that amount home. I am just going off the statement you made, understand that your work history and gross pay effects the amount you get.
Go to this link and you can calculate the amount you'll receive........ https://apps.twc.state.tx.us/UBS/changeLocale.do?language=en&country=US&page=/benefitsEstimator.do
I rather get unemployment and take home $450 weekly than work 40hrs and take $500 biweekly. This is ridiculous!!! Please take me away layoff ghost!! Cant keep eating noodles while the fat bastard managers eat steak and shrimp!!
Unfortunately there are a lot of us who'd rather be on unemployment vs working the 40 hr work week. But it is what it is I suppose.
I Want to be on the list unemployment pays more than 40 hrs here
30% reductions for 2016
Be patient. HR is making their way over to FM 529. Pray you are not on the list. Many locations will be hit hard. It has to be done. Good luck!
