I tend to think it's more because NOV has been heavily focused on offshore drilling equipment and rig sales. You can argue that was a bad strategy...NOV did very well for the past several years and employed a lot of folks in Orange, WLY/PCG, 529, and SHP, but yes the strategy will need to change in an era of cheap oil.
That and pretty soon it will be down to $10.00 LOL!!

Oil per bbl is now at $31.00 while NOV stock is continuing to drop.
