You really should sit down with an immigration attorney and get the facts and make sure it's done correctly. I'm not an immigration lawyer, but I think these are your best options:
File a Form I-485. You can file this concurrently with your I-140 status.
Your potential employer could also file a Form G-28 on your behalf.
