It seems there are a lot of disgruntled people on here, maybe if you worked as hard as you complain then you would still have a job. And if you did not learn enough to be an asset to another company then your probably worthless anyway

I was left go on the last round in October. I thank Chk for the large severance I received. I sold all my stock at $7. Hell it was given to me, no loss to me but on my taxes which help offset the severance income. Now I have a great project manager position making more money than I did at Chk. The benefits are not as good but I have security and I'm using my brain again rather than starring out the office window wondering when the black suits are coming. Thank you Chk for letting me out of the mess your company is in.

I'm also curious why everyone is going with the 26th.

Not sure about the 26th, but CHK typically issues pink slips on Tuesdays of a pay week. Good luck!

Does anyone know why the 26th seems to be what people are saying? I'm just wondering if there is significance with it or what. I'm tired of worrying about it if it happens it happens what are we gonna do about it?

All of you losers from Guthrie without a college degree get ready to be laid off. I hear McDonald's is hiring.

CHK is done!!! If you are one of the fools still working there with hopes of a silver lining, then too bad for you. Same thing happened in the 80s and was nothing learned? The energy biz is a roller coaster, always has been. If you don't have your exit strategy in place or are not working on a new career then you're screwed, plain and simple. Don't believe me? Just wait.

2016 will bring more pain to CHK. It is the "dead horse" described earlier. In reality it is closer to being the rotting corpse of the said dead horse. Take one whiff and run the other way.

The stock could go up 300% this year and many holders would still be in the red. At this point it is simply about minimizing additional losses. Without the dividend, there is literally not a single reason to own this dead horse.
