Ge has no heart all about money
When I came on 3 years ago, I was told by a co worker at the previous job about how GE operates. That is if they buy a business and it does not have a quick turn around and makes them money they soon get rid of it. But of course the comments on here I would say are absolutely true it is a little bit of all the factors mentioned.
Due to oil fluctuating to new lows and GE's disdain for anything but winning money makers, expect Q1 to be well below expectations.
Unfortunately oil and gas companies want profits in billions. There is no satisfaction in millions despite healthcare and aviation making profits in millions.
