Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

How's TTS These Days?

I get laid off from TTS in September and I'm just wondering how things are going for everyone still there. It felt like some things were moving in the right direction (adoption of agile, continuous integration, etc) when I left. So what's it like? Are things getting better?

Agile/scrum/dojo = buzzwords. Seems like everyone is moving (being moved?) to the dojo, like it or not. Enjoy the bench desks!

I'm not very good with predictions, especially those for those for the future.

Be glad you got out. DevOops teams' still spend more time hosting meetups, attending conferences and guest speaking than they do with collaboration and real results internally. Agile is a buzzword, but people act like its new even though its been around TTS since 2004, but at least this time all the non-engineers are now Scrum Masters, so all the crap they used to do to make an engineers life miserable shouldn't happen again since they have all been "trained".... sarcasm. Sweet Basils is still a shitty place to eat. CyberMonday website crash is a great testimony to all the hard work and effort put forth by TTS, who will never understand the needs of the business.
