As mentioned roughly 30 - 40 full timers / contractors let go. Mostly full timers, some with over 10 years of service. There is no loyalty so whether you have 10 years or 1 year of service it doesn't mean anything. As Hager said there are no sacred cows. Of course the good o'l boy system is in play so if you win the popularity contest and stay off the list you will probably survive the first round if that is any consolation. Expect ongoing cuts going forward. The oil and gas industry has shifted to an employers market now so don't expect raises or any other monetary incentives or perks going forward. If that sounds like a future then congrats if you survive. Change is ALWAYS good albeit hard. If you are laid off use it as an opportunity to make a change in a positive direction. Good luck to everyone!
Not much happened in the field today from what I could see.
My fiancée works in the field and is currently on days off we are getting zero info about what's going on
Except what we find on here
Anyone have field personnel info would be appreciated
When do the lay offs hit the field?
Does anyone know how many today.
If you worked here then finding out how many rigs are running shouldn't be too hard. If you don't work here then why does it matter? We are more worried about other things today than rigs.
Rigs not rugs
Any more news on how many rugs are running?
Fine...I'll just type HRIS into skype.....they are getting sacked as well....no one can check this site dummy
Anyone that types talent in Skype is being monitored by IT to see if you are on this site.
This is true.
That's correct. So many of these folks with "presence unknown" status. This sucks. :(
This is absolutely true. Just search "Talent" in Skype and you will see 16 of them let go today. Prayers for all of the families that will be affected by this...
@wrp- please go away. At least 30 HR people gone and more layoffs to come this afternoon
All of this is not true. None today.
Security is everywhere
Confirmed IT getting hit today as well
For those who are preceding the rest of us today-how are they pulling the trigger? Meeting invite or by tap on your shoulder, "Follow me" ? Does your direct supervisor do it or is it a cool hand HR rep? Sorry for those out the door today. I knew a few of you....
HR Training.
Who in HR ?
Expect more tomorrow, wellness and HR today, IT and biz tomorrow
HR and Wellness seem to be getting hit right now.
What areas are being hit now?
Confirmed. HR staff being let go.

Laziest reporter in the world right here
I heard fasslerhall.
Friend in HR said cuts will begin today. 10 minutes later I saw three people walking out with boxes of their personal belongings.
