A little history to assist you Lord Vader errr I mean Carl trained Brian Legg long before you came with the company. Carl is simply still the master at deception. Brian is a pretender to that throne.
I've been with Staples six years now as a GM and honestly think Carl is a really good guy. Brian Legg can die in a fire - he talks down to everyone except the good old boy network.
I nominate the intellectually challenged Carl Rohrberg. This jerk off was one of the first to move from HUMAN to less than human resources. I watched on more than one occasion while he questioned general managers who were high performers, in an attempt to corner them so they could fire them (when the get rid of the expensive manager program was introduced). In every situation I saw the GM not only make him look foolish, but in one epic event PROVE that Carl was actually the CAUSE of the problem by his complete incompetence. (Anyone remember how HR "discovered" the New Hampshire labor laws? and sent all 22 managers to a NH labor law class). Carl tried to blame GM's until one of them proved Carl had been ignorant of this for nearly a decade yet tried to blame a GM that was never responsible for this clearly HR function. Carl, as I recall left quickly tail between his legs.
Hopefully Brian Legg gets it first
