Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Anyone else heard of depts cutting 10% of headcount?

Seems that there are positions being eliminated or moving to India a few every few weeks. Have others been seeing this, too? Too small to hit the news. Those left have to absorb the additional work.

Apparently K Jones not considered news worthy...not a peep from Star Trib. I guess Exec VPS at Tgt are a dime a dozen.

@mrb, Former Target here, had not heard that K Jones left. When did that happen?

@zti, I'm doing my job but no longer willing to do more than that. Layoffs created my new attitude towards Target and work effort.

@myl- Or you could stop wasting time and resources as a pyramid and actually do your jobs.... Then you'd have all the time in the world. The rest of the company doesn't get free t-shirts....

Does K Jones exit tell you anything about how distribution reinvention is going. JM, best get his resume together. Supply chain is a graveyard for careers. If you work in support of it, be ready for layoffs.

I am not putting in any additional effort or picking up anyone else's work. We are in a resource constrained model now. Work will just have to sit in the backlog. Have them talk to MM if they have a problem with that.
