At $70 per share, this is $15.750 million given to the chosen few and this is this year alone - SLB is loosing money and have laid off 1/3rd of it workforce. How many jobs would this save and how much equipment could this buy to generate income. Many locations around the world are not allowed to spend or CAPEX. This is so wrong in many ways

Y'all don't understand. Firing is real stressful but necessary, as the layoffs become an exceptional item on the P&L - so margins remain higher and investors are happy. Earned this they did. Deserve this they do.

Paal at $70 each share times 80900=$5,663,000

Wow- good job pulling that up. He can say whichever but he is in no jeopardy that's for sure.

that alone is about the equivalent of 50 people in his stocks alone for one year.

SLB has no ethics or morals, remember it's only the bottom line that counts.

Morally repugnant taking these shares and then pushing up the price by buying them back as a company - where is the ethics policy when it's needed???

even the almighty ExxonMobil is slashing capex and stopping stock buy back they're historically known for, Paal started another round of dividend increase and 10 billion buy back program on the back of many laid off employees and their family. Incredible!!
