More layoffs happening.
Security BU revenues isn't stellar and could be in jeopardy. Don't know if the sales engineers are enthusiastic about marketing security products out there.
Whats the layoff landscape going to be if Q3 is yet another period with less than stellar results, a stock price that can't get much above 23 per share and the anticipation that Q4 is traditionally not a period when companies spend big money ?
Juniper is closing down buildings that were leased and many employees will be crammed into the new campus. Lab equipment is shuttled up to Washington (due to cheap electricity costs) and so are positions in lab management. I foresee a bloodbath from now till the end of this year.
Typical of every year: Layoffs happen towards the end of the year and once layoffs are done, positions will open in around March of next year.
California has a law where companies or businesses with more than a certain number of employees are "required" by law to post layoff notices on the EDD website called "WARN" however Juniper has never done so in the previous years with layoffs whereas Cisco has made this information public there. I don't know if Juniper is keeping a tight lip on layoffs to keep shareholders "happy"
Wall Street wasn't excited by Juniper's latest numbers. Another sacrifice to Moloch is required.
Any idea which divisions will be impacted ?
