Tired of waiting to get assigned to some real work and on the other hand don't want to leave good paying job. Does that sumsup most of you?

It's good to hear that those left at Target are now actually WORKING!
You guys! Follow the money. Contractors are not going to be the ones to go because they don't show up as headcount to Wall Street. IT capitalizable positions are not going to be cut - that is like money in the bank. Marketing positions doing the work of 2+ people? Looks like some business processes need fixing...
There are not going to be any more layoffs for team members. Contractors are being released to cut expenses now, of course we don't have the expertise to backfill them so there will be quality issues and delays. Target will then rely on team members being fed up and leaving on their own to accomplish remaining cost savings.
@FEl9psi-1tru If that's what you're complaining about you don't know how to quantify possible changes. Look at historical a/b tests, tell your stupid business partners that even under the best circumstances they changes will not be worth the effort.
OP I agree with you 100% and think the majority of my TTS colleagues would too. Just heard of another reshuffle coming so work is again in limbo and we wait.
No one - and I mean no one - that I know of at Target can relate to your post. We've all either been laid off & come back (contract or full-time) or are waiting to see what happens in Feb . . . . . but in every case we're doing the work of 2 if not 3 people (well, 1 doing the work of 2, 2 doing the work of 5, etc.). Our area in Marketing is nearly 1/3 contractors, and even they aren't being replaced as they leave. Mind you, the workload is increasing (multiple sign versions, special store formats, 1-off tests, multiple set dates . . . . ) all of which compound the workload dramatically whilst the workforce decreases one by one. It's all real work, it's all increasing, and no one has any idea if there's any relief in sight.
