DO IT! While you still have a chance. Plenty of other companies need you. Tell your manager to stuff it!

No worries for H1-B. You're in it for the paycheck for a couple years and then to take the experience and brand name back to the home country. Intel isn't going anywhere in 5 years and may still be around in 10 years. ARM disruption isn't happening overnight obviously. So, keep calm and carry on blokes!
Definitely good to leave, but why not take some VSP/ISP cash with you when you go? Here's my thought for what it's worth. I think the best strategy is to have everything ready to pull the trigger (linkedin scrubbed, get references from work, freshen the resume) Then start by going for the "long shot" companies/dream jobs with full job applications with custom cover letter contact people you know there for info (everything) - and take the interview if you get it. If no long shots come through for you work your way down the priority list. And while you're at it if you're really confident you can put yourself in a position to get VSP/ISP. Tis the season! If you're not confident just keep your nose down as you work your way down your company priority list. You're sure to wind up at a better company than Intel!
