Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Electronic Shelf Tags

Noticing more electronic shelf tags are blank or very hard to read. As a customer, this stinks. Why pay $2 more for butter at WF than at Central Market for the exact same product? Lower prices? Shouldn't I pay less for bread since now I have to learn how to work the bread slicing machine myself? What is this, Aldi?

I used to handle these E-tags, as they're called. Prior to October of 2014, it was literally a full-time job maintaining these, handling IT issues, and ensuring price integrity. In an effort to save money, this position was cut back to twenty hours a week. Was the work load cut at all? No. Just the hours in which the TM was supposed to handle it.

The paper tags suck as well. They won't stay on the shelf and always fall on the floor. I don't care anymore, though. F them nobody cares at this point. #wholefoodsmarket #teamWFM
