SWN's VPs and most managers remind me of spoiled kids that grew up using Mommy and Daddy's credit cards. They never had to pay the bills they just sought personal gratification. Now they went and spent a bunch of money and look here, they have to pay the bills! So now they are scrambling to cover their butts. They have buyers regret but have no choice other than to do what they can to get by. People like this can't be trusted and it will pain them greatly to take personal responsibility for their actions. If they were going to make the big play on WV they should have cleaned up their debts in Arkansas first before going and spending a bunch of money. A cattle rancher won't buy a bunch of new cattle until they have sold the ones in their yard.

Sorry, it would be different is all O&G gas company's were not in the same predicament or am I the only one who say Shell was laying off another 10K, BP another 4K, Schlumberger another 11K. Why do/did we think it wouldn't happen to SWN?
You should not that those managers all still have their job.
Debts in Arkansas? Debt was taken on by the Chesapeake acquisition. Agree management sucks and have for the past 17 years.
