Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

another company for Schlumberger - down turn must be over

On November 16, Schlumberger acquired Fluid Inclusion Technologies, Inc. (FIT). FIT specializes in laboratory analysis of trapped fluids in rock material, and advanced borehole gas analysis on drilling wells. The addition of FIT strengthens Schlumberger’s vision of integrating rocks and fluids laboratory services. Schlumberger began expanding its existing laboratory services in 2011 with the development of petroleum and aqueous geochemistry services, then launched conventional rock analysis services the following year. In 2013, Schlumberger acquired Gushor Inc. to enhance our heavy oil and geochemistry portfolio and strengthen our technology offering via dynamic and innovative new product development.

Fluid Inclusion Technologies (FIT) is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma and employs 25 people. The company was founded in 1997 by Don Hall, Mike Sterner and Wells Shentwu as a spinoff of Amoco Production Research.
