hearing a lot of rumours lately and afraid where there's smoke there will be fire.
what I heard is that this time around our village idiot has tasked the GMs to do the dirty work for him so actions will be at a group level.
-keep building up the emergency fund
-if your group is actively hiring, it is likely safe
-on the other hand if there is hiring freeze, senior folks are jumping ship, attrition is not being backfilled then there is likely bad news around the corner
-the age discrimination myth is real. not much you can do but at least don't be in denial
