I was redeployed back in 2002. Normally, I would give you the same advice that people gave me at the time: "If you've been redeployed, then there are jobs out there to be filled--otherwise, they would've just RIF'ed you." However, given Intel's new hiring guidelines, in this current environment I wouldn't be nearly as optimistic.
