Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

The oil & gas industry is a sinking ship, not just Noble. The hubris that people demonstrate during times like these is laughable. Why do people who get laid off or get fired or don't get what they want become so convinced that they were such an important asset to the company and that the company was a sinking ship full of management assholes, liars and crooks? Wake up shitheads! You got laid off because oil & gas is in trouble and your number came up! Move on and find yourself another job. Stop whining and get back to work!

In my opinion, too many "kids" given too much responsibility in both Houston and Canonsburg. Most managers in both offices are much younger than their reports. No sour grapes here (I was let go today); it's just an observation on my part that experience doesn't account for much. Again, just my opinion...

Those who have been laid off today, preyers of a better opportunity. Just keep positive

It's disgusting. All we can do is hope their poor decisions catch up with them soon. Karma is a bitch. I don't see how the company will ever recover from any of this with the shitty managers they still have in place. Noble is a sinking ship. I know I've never worked for a less competent management team.
