As long as Target is in the news for something less than ideal, there will be layoffs.
Our contractor is done at the end of December (originally to be March)...not enough to do; however, the area has recently hired for 3 individual for newly created positions (and the hired were let go in March). What does that tell us - still cleaning house (seems a little under the table)
Yeah, target does not care how contractors get cut loose. No skin off BCs nose, they are people who are suffering a loss livelihood, because he wants to give money to shareholders only.
All tcs contractors contracts will be over after december
I'm sure people in TTS have been fired but probably not everyone that deserved to be. The same is true in most parts of HQ where individuals are not responsible for an end result. TTS is trying with this latest reorganization to align the individual to an outcome of their work. I think people will start getting fired next year as it takes effect.
this is a serious question. Does anyone in TTS ever lose their job for doing terrible work, or wasting $$$ on projects that don't deliver? Or do people just get reassigned to the next project and pretend nothing happened?
I would not be surprised to see some US based activities and jobs moved to Target India this coming year. The organization has placed some teams under senior target India leadership, it would only make sense to cut the cord in US. Look for some layoffs on these teams.
An other option become a KMG/ Director in TTS to save your job , . Only lower level people are fired here to increase the number , not the actual responsible senior / KMGS who for continuously failed to delivery.
Why you are waiting for others to tell, Why dont you try to find a job n go , you want to wait till last moment and then blame company. You know the situation , still you want to be here ,it's your wish.
TI should have some of the good for nothing highy over paid fatty layer of KMGs removed! They were spared in all the previous waves. They got rid of their PG13-15-17s to take over the teams to save their seats by increasing their spans, specially in the various Ops team in Merch, Finance, HR, Stores etc.
It will probably go like usual. Your leadership will tell you everything is awesome, nothing to worry about. Then BAM! Private meetings show up without warning and Brian the Butcher strikes again.
Lots of long term contractors will be shown the door and looking for next gig.
