Instead of finding talent and strategically solving issues, we once again punt an entire business but will likely keep the knuckleheads that led us down this path of durrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

All of the outsourcing is just more profit for BC's resume! It is not a sustainable profit for the company. Eventually there will be nothing left to sell off and we will be left with more cutting internal budgets. As for the the FDCs, there is no way they would continue to let Supervalu or any other company have that much control of our supply chain. Target.com being 'powered by Amazon' was such crap. Amazon would not let us have any control of the site and limited what we sell. Many products were actually routed to Amazon's site for the sale. It also was a pain for gift registries. Items could be added, but would not show up in the store and if a guest purchased one thing that happened to be an Amazon item, all remaining items were somehow only able to be purchased on Amazon's site. When we split the site off their system, they should have just started from scratch to build our website. Instead they do what they do with all of Target's systems. They put band aids on top of band aids and never fix the actual issues.
How about outsourcing IT? They seem to think we're a tech company but have some how managed TTS into the ground and have nothing to show for real innovation. All recent "innovations" are things other competitors have had for years! But they are AGILE now so I am sure that will allow the same old ideas look fresh and new again along with new excuses to go along with them for the next 2 years until MM gets booted and another CIO comes in, rinse and repeat same bad ideas with same talentless resources.
Have they considered outsourcing to Walmart? They know how to stock shelves and sell globally.
Target is only following through on it's comittment to serve the guest. Of course that only applies if you are a guest that also happens to be a large shareholder of Target stock.
Sell pharmacy to CVS. Replace quick grab foor with D'Amico's and other vendors. Outsource grocery. Call it what it is...Target is simply becoming a landlord for other companies!
Gosh, you mean we should have left Supervalu in place to manage the supply of food product? Oh, let's go back to Amazon to manage our .com business while we are at it., we can't do that right either. Brilliant JM, I guess that is why you got the big promo...who else could have suggested we don't know what the hell we are doing and consider it progress or even acceptable. So much for needing that high priced SVP of grocery we just hired.
