Repeating what another person posted inside another convo thread "rumor is that there will be about 100 people left in Omaha when all is said and done whose role will be to manage projects and oursourcing company. 80 or so people were 'sold' to Treehouse" So my question is if 100 is the number, then IT will lose around 700 people (40 were removed on oct 16 and 80 are going with ralcorp. It has to be less, because I believe about the same have been offered early retirement. So if half take the offer then we are already are over 1,000 and it does not count for supply chain (which I hear that number is huge), finance, and other areas. Anybody know numbers of people gone today?

100 is possible but if they are only (sarcastically) cutting 1,000 that would mean more than 600 would come from IT.
I wonder which layer they are going to cut. CIO and Vp/Sr director they have around 10. I wonder what happens with the other Sr director and directors and manager or team leaders. Which layer or layers will go? Any insight?
With outsourcing 100 is possible. They may keep only business IT folks and few critical resources to make it 100, and other with pure technical skills might let go. Outsourcing generally replaces the pool of technical skills as general thought is that company need people who can explain business and get the technical work done.
