Guessing that's why BK decided to give us Martin Luther King day as a holiday effective 2016 per his BUM. People have asked why it (and other holidays as well) wasn't given to us before and the answer was always "that's what your floating holiday is for. To pick the day YOU chose as a holiday".
Intel already had a growing "demand" problem for new hires - the demand for Intel jobs is poor because the company is perceived as a laggard. They also have an increasingly difficult and self-imposed supply problem because now they've got to find just the right mix of purple, green and blue people as well as the right mix of genitals on inside vs genitals on outside, Sneeches with stars, Sneeches without stars, etc. Oh, and they need to know a little about engineering too.
Sadly, this means that Intel is no longer hiring the best engineers. What if the NBA decided that they now need to have more Asian and white players in order to have more "inclusion" of folks in society? Would people still want to see those games? Wouldn't the overall product suffer?
I guess when you are a company that cannot produce game-changing products, you need to do something else to get yourself recognized by the public.
Weird, Intel spends so much on a program in which only half of the company feels proud about and the initiative does little to improve the company's growth.
300 mln $ is exactly the amount company was supposed to save thanks to job cuts in June/July. Coincidence? Let's fire all our experienced engineers, and hire female Indian students to replace them, this will certainly help company to grow...

Intel should really just call it what it really is: Affirmative Action. Although the number of women at Intel already appears to be much much higher than the ratio of females I have seen in college. And I just graduated a few years ago.
Because skin color and genitals on inside vs outside - those are the things that we should care about... Dr. King is rolling is his grave.
