In a tricky situation. I have been reassured that I will be safe from these layoffs, but is there a way to delicately volunteer to be cut? I have great relationships with my bosses and peers, but I'm just ready to move on. Obviously I would want to be able to negotiate for a severance package, but is that a "having my cake and eating it too" attitude? I'd rather me go than my coworkers who really, really want to stay.

good Riddance, if you are so glad to be gone, why do you still post about Noble? it is clear you haven't moved on and you wish a different story...
Anyone can put their two week notice in.
I volunteered in April and I got it!! It's funny because the day in January dumbass Stover announced that there would be a reorg. I was so nervous... there were nights when I did not sleep at all. Try going to work everyday on NO sleep. Then I went to my manager and volunteered to be laid off... mostly because I could not take Noble's garbage anymore. Poor morale, negativity, back stabbing by insecure and incompetent team leads. Managers who are completely clueless about most everything going on. Executive suite who could careless about you and willing to layoff loyal Noble employees in order to make the Rosetta deal happen. Basically I am BETTER than Noble Energy and didn't want to be part of their crap anymore... they didn't deserve to have me any longer. Happily I have found a much better place to work. Sleep like a baby every night! And soooo glad to be gone from there! Peace!
Cant hurt to ask... oh wait.
Just ask might work.
Won't work. People here in April asked HR for this option, - - - - - - the request was not granted.
