Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

Ay Caramba!!! Unrealistic expectations!

TTS and Target are not even close to using Agile. 200 teams trying to figure it out with an underprepared training and coaching program and total lack of key leader adoption or understanding for 200 TTS teams. People do not understand their new roles and are trying to do everyone else's. Buisness leaders were not sold or educated regardless of what Mike says and frustration is bubbling up. I'm burned out after only 1 1/2 months of the battle. As a I said - Ay Caramba!

I've left TTS and at another local MSP company and bladelogic certainly has automated more here than we ever did under RC. TTS buys hundreds of unused or under used solutions. And calls the crap people build with scripts Enterprise solutions. Like U2, also terrible and useless. So many millions wasted on both sides. At least open source is free, like a free puppy!

Remember how RC said Bladelogic would automate everything?

Gotta agree that 189103 is a Troll or one of the most ignorant target TMs ever - they can't be from HQ or the DCs.... must be Stores. Everyone knows we have partnerships with manufacturing companies all over Asia and elsewhere and our Merchants travel there frequently. We also have target employees who work around the globe, representing target's interests and getting our 'ówned brands' manufactured and shipped to the US. That poster is a Troll or never looked at a label - get off the site, Troll.

RC is a fraud! Talking head, idea thief, Minnesota nice back stabbing, highschool drama creating, self-promoting DevOops theorist! (And apparently bacon in someone's underpants lol)

How is he still here after all the crap ideas and solutions he has brought in over the years with nothing to show for it. He really must possess Jedi mind trick skills! Or TTS still has no accountability.

Please just figure the process out and get quality work done. My team has a new system development project that will be starting very shortly. Sorry your area is as messed up as the rest of the company. Leadership in my area is now horrible and we can't trust anything they say or do. We just do what we need to do to get the job done and move forward for ourself and the company. Just GSD and be thankful you still have a job! I am tired of all of the whining, if you don't want to be here....LEAVE!

Anonymous189147: I suppose there's more value in saying devoops or juice box over and over. Or reposting again and again about how rough the poor overpaid TTS drones have it with Agile. Ton's of value there.

189147 - Just read189103's comment. Sure didn't sound ignorant to me.... Sounded like an epic beat down. Some poor hard working TGT TM is in China and his system doesn't work. That makes him a communist and he needs to STFU. Now that's ignorant!

189128, did you mean...."you are" or maybe "you're" instead of "your". Go back to school you ignorant bastard, or quit criticizing those who post here. You never offer any value here, only call people trolls, move on.

Anonymous189103: Here you go: Who's "we?" You have no place in our "we." Your comments continue to showcase your ignorant, racist, illiterate identity. We know who you are: Your the pathetic TROLL who may have had a very low level job at Target at one time and/or are lonely boorish and enjoy haunting these websites deriving some pathetic amount of enjoyment from throwing out asinine comments that are misspelled, out of context and pathetically ill-informed.

TTS'ers listen up! The bottom line is the product, programs. projects, software, applications you are delivering don't work consistently, you've got to be aware of this fact. The process by which you deliver your work: Agile or whatever really has no consequence beyond the fact that our Tools at Target need to work and deliver value to the buyers, floor team members, cashiers, marketing teams etc. Whether its POS, Fulfillment tools, sourcing tools or the support of our PC's and Mac's our technology teams are not getting the job done. I'm sitting in China locked out of the the system, can't access any of our drives relegated to remote access on a lobby computer. Your problems go well beyond "Devoops, Agile" or whatever. People do get fired at Target for non performance and you are not performing. Stop Whining and get it done!

Totally agree! The shift to Agile was done - with no training or leadership that knows what the hell they are doing. In my area, they have contractors coming in to lead the scrum teams as no Target employees know how to do so. It's going to backfire. So much for investing in your employees and long term growth for the company by opting out to contractors once again.

Agile at 100% is completely unreasonable. Not all projects will be successful with Agile. Our leaders are apparently do not understand that. They promote philosophy from the higher ups that they do not understand, just to kiss ass for their own good. It would be nice to have leaders that actually understood SDLC and support the troops that deliver on this. Maybe then they could retain talent.

Everyone calm done. In agile world you cannot expect to have everything. You will get something and then and what is needed to the backlog for future work. Tts will deliver slowly over the next 3 years against the backlog.

Change Batteries on MyDevices???? Impossible!!!! You idiots sealed them with security screws!!!! At least give us a way to use a battery pack attached through the plug at the bottom to continue working so we are not constantly playing Musical MyDevices trying to find one that works for more than 10 minutes before dying!!! SMDH!!!!

Would love to hear from some stores teams using my device. Mike says the team has solved the problems. Something about you just need to remember to change the batteries when they get weak.

Great, we all get an email from MM today (which I guess means his lack of communication wasn't due to him being fired for better or worse). His message, he is excited to report that we have more TMs than contractors, not because we've been able to hire TMs but of course just eliminated contractors. Who gets that extra work, us lucky team members. Forget that he has dedicated no time to making sure we have the skills or direction to work in his, no if, ands or buts mandated AGILE methodologies. So don't be surprised when he reports out next in a couple months that he no longer has an organization because the TMs all quit.

Moving everything to agile is the most stupid thing an organization can do. They THINK they can deliver better. Truth is they can't.

TTS leaders from KMG up do not want their fingerprints on any decision currently being made, instead pushing it down to PG 15-17, maybe a occasional 19. Plausible deniability, I call it being a coward.

This has been the theory proposed before in TTS, layoff the low hanging fruit and give them severance. The remaining high performers will become so fed up they will leave on their own. People are getting to that point fast Mike.
