I am not sure if this policy of announcing layoffs then leaving it up in the air for all to dread is some kind of draconian motivation scheme hatched by someone in HR, but if it is I am happy to tell you i haven't done one single Value Added activity since the layoffs were announced. Get it together and make the damn cuts, until then I will be on reddit.

This policy of fear is good and keeps employees on their toes. We need a driver for employee performance and we find that fear works better for us than anything else.
If you don't like it - leave.
Get as many none related failure as you can. Increase NPT.10% layoff will cost them more.

This is pretty much true. Much of the work is grinding to a halt as people adopt a bunker mentality waiting for the axe to fall. Of course they will do it just in time for the holidays too.
It's a shame really. Things were just getting back to productive again when the HAIC displayed the genius of announcing like that.
I wonder if these guys spent their childhoods pouring salt on slugs and pulling wings off flies. Probably lit the neighborhood cat on fire and wet the bed at age 12 too.
I find it disrespectful for a Company to announce to the Media and news outlets their going to have another 10% cut in workforce before actually doing it first. That's just not cool.
HR called me yesterday and asked if I'd be available to help them. I asked with what, they said their going to need assistance on sacking a bunch. I thought for bout 5 seconds and accepted so I can continue to get a pay check. Sorry guys and gals, ax is coming and consolidating, Multiskilling, etc. Ones that are left will get a 10% cut in pay and do the work of 3 so we can try and buy Microsoft and join this technology into PC units no later than Feb 2016.
