There was a meeting at my facility for another early retirement package. Sounds like another layoff to start the new year. Remember to brush up the old resume and keep your spending low during the holidays. 2016 is going to be rough.

retirement package was offered again in orange ca. started yesterday. minimum age of 55. your age + years of service= 75 and your in. dropped insurance from 10 years to 5
the rest of the package is the same as it was early this year.

For those who were previously laid off and took the Verp, and considering this so called "class action suit". Have you read and understood the "release" you signed when you took your severance pay? You agreed NOT to sue the "company". Your release also prohibits you from participating in a "class action lawsuit" ... you know as well as i do that NOV lawyers have written those release papers to protect the company and NOT you. Good luck with your witch hunt.

Let us all how to become part of the class action suit. It might not help everyone but those that would be fall within the new guidelines were cut out deliberately of this package. That is discrimination, either accidental or deliberate.
The last round of VERP was much better than the severance.
1 year of salary PLUS medical benefits for employee and dependents until employee (dependent) was able to get equal coverage (another job, Medicare).
If that's not wrong for those that were laid off than I don't know what is.

ITs happening at PCG too. Retirement packages what I don't understand how can the rely on the Millennial Generation (NextGens) to run a company when the majority of them do not have common sense to get out of the weather.
Aircenter got the retirement packages yesterday. Rare that they would offer it twice in same yr. writing on the wall
I would join a class action suit if this is indeed true. If true, it looks like they got rid of workers who could have met the stated requirements and left a little better off than just being cut. Let's stay together on this.
This is true, I work at Holmes Rd. and was told I needed to attend the meeting at 9:30 today.

If this was true what locations was this at, I always see these post but never see the locations. I have not authorized any more retirement packs yet. That will cost NOV more money than simply just letting employees go. BACK TO THE OFFICE TOMMOROW
