Pearson has so far retrenched or reduced the hours of 200-250 MGI/ CTI (under Pearson) staff members in South Africa. The Randburg (Johannesburg, South Africa) Campus has been closed affecting the whole staff complement. Existing staff's contracts on some campuses have been changed shaving off months to reduce cost to company. The morale is grim and crippling and people are panicking as to how they will be able to plug short-noticed holes created in their finances. The Pearson Octopus has landed.

The morale of academic staff working for Pearson has been very low. There is no trust in the company and you never know what might hit you next. Staff at one of the campuses only got half their pay in January and will have to make a plan over December and January (no pay) as their contracts were conveniently changed to suit the company. Current staff work tripple the amount of hours that they should.
Really not been impressed with how this company take over has been conducted as many people have been financially devasted.
Pearson is NOT people-orientated and only care about the profits they turn.
At least they took all our private data first before the boot.... Thanks P
Honestly, this is utter bull!! How can they retrench now when all businesses are closing and expect those who have been retrenched to find a new job, I feel like leaving a nice burning brown bag at the door of 'Pearson' and say thank you coming.
